Jennifer Jiang

Houston Brand Ambassador for The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley

Founder and Owner, Immigrant Buddies

Jennifer Jiang is a hospitality professional turned entrepreneur with a passion for helping people make connections. She is the founder of Immigrant Buddies, a non-profit organization in Houston that connects new immigrants with buddies who help them adjust to life in America. Buddies are native-born Americans and established immigrants who serve as friends and mentors for new immigrants. For now, participants sign up through the website but in 2025, Immigrant Buddies is launching a first-of-its-kind social platform for immigrants to search, request, and interact with buddies. “It empowers all Americans to be a resource for immigrants,” Jiang says.

Being a brand ambassador for The Perfect Purée ties into Jennifer’s role as a business owner and her past experience working in the restaurant industry. “It’s good marketing practice, getting out there and meeting restaurant and bar owners and managers and talking to them, introducing a product and offering samples,” she says.

Jennifer attended ABC Bartending School in California in 2016. She was a server and bartender at Applebee’s, La Quinta Inn & Suites and the Hilton Houston Plaza Medical Center Hotel, among other establishments. She learned the technology side of the business working in the field for the restaurant software provider Altametrics and as a product manager for Revel Systems’ iPad point-of-sales system. “I would try to get restaurants to sign up for the beta program,” Jennifer says.

Jennifer is an avid traveler and recently visited Thailand and Singapore where she found inspiration for using The Perfect Purée. “What I do is scoop it out and put it in water, coffee or juice. I like Passion Fruit in orange juice and Coconut in coffee,” she says. Her favorite flavors are El Corazon and Strawberry.
