A seasoned food & beverage industry professional with more than 20 years experience, Stephen Wheeler is the bar manager at the luxury Rosewood Mansion in Dallas and a member of the Chilled 100 team of America’s best bartenders. He started in back-of-house roles but soon found a talent for bartending and built a successful career opening bars and restaurants in cities nationwide including Asheville, Miami, Dallas, Las Vegas, and his native Boston.

Stephen is a founder and consultant at ThirstCrafters, a consulting company that provides innovative solutions to bars and restaurants. Throughout his career, Stephen has influenced and curated more than two dozen cocktail menus at notable establishments including Komodo in Miami and The Broken Shaker in Los Angeles.

Calling himself a “bartender with a palate,” he demonstrates an expert understanding of mixology and beverage trends. At Rosewood Mansion, Stephen crafts unforgettable drinking experiences with his signature blend of creativity, leadership, and passion. He’s been using The Perfect Purée for more than 10 years and says it allows him to make a much more accurate representation of the recipes he creates in his head. His favorite flavors are Yuzu Luxe Sour, Apricot, Prickly Pear, and Carmelized Pineapple.
