Tobin Birney grew up in the food business as part of a family that ran a successful small town bakery. That early exposure combined with subsequent experience at high-end establishments around the country convinced him of the value of premium ingredients such as The Perfect Purée. Tobin’s deep knowledge of the service industry comes from working front-of-the-house roles, serving tables and mixing drinks behind the bar.

Also an entrepreneur, Tobin is the founder, owner and artistic director at Universal Alignment Pins, making one-of-a-kind inspirational and culturally significant soft enamel collector’s pins.

Tobin balances his professional background in business, sales and high-end customer service with personal experience in his role as Seattle brand ambassador. He understands how the product, the place, the price, the presentation and the resulting flavor help a thriving business rise above the pack. He believes attention to detail is imperative.

Tobin is a fan of The Perfect Purée’s Lemon, Lime and Orange zests to brighten shaken cocktails and smoothies and to enrich sauces. His favorite flavors are White Peach for its taste and Blood Orange for its color.
