Ingredients for Forbidden Formula:
• 1 ½ oz. Charbay Blood Orange Mandarin Vodka
 • ½ oz. Giffard Caribbean Pineapple
 • ¾ oz. Licor 43
 • ¾ oz. The Perfect Purée Blackberry Puree, thawed
 • ½ oz. The Perfect Purée Tamarind Puree, thawed
 • ½ oz. lime juice
 • ½ oz. habanero simple syrup
 • vanilla clove tincture
 • orange popping candy
 • dehydrated orange slice
Ingredients for Habanero Simple Syrup
• 7 habaneros (sliced)
 • 30 oz. sugar
 • 30 oz. water
Ingredients for Vanilla Clove Tincture:
• 2 whole vanilla beans (split)
 • 6 cloves
 • 1 cup high-proof rum
Ingredients for Orange Popping Candy:
• 3 tbsp. powdered sugar
 • 1 ½ tsp. baking soda
 • 14 tsp. citric acid
 • 2 cups sugar
 • ⅓ cup honey
 • ⅓ cup water
Method for Habanero Simple Syrup: Combine all ingredients in a pot. Cook on medium heat until it simmers. Turn off heat. Let cool at room temperature. Strain out habaneros.
Method for Vanilla Clove Tincture: Combine all ingredients. Let sit for 1 week. Strain.
Method for Orange Popping Candy: Cover baking sheet with powdered sugar. Combine baking soda and 12 tsp. citric acid. Heat honey, sugar and water over medium heat. Remove at 295 F °. Stir in soda/acid mixture, orange color and orange flavoring. Pour onto pan. Sprinkle remaining 2 tsp. citric acid over mixture. Let cool and break into small pieces.
Method for Forbidden Formula: Combine all ingredients except vanilla clove tincture and orange popping candy in shaker with ice. Shake 10-15 seconds. Coat the rim of a Collins glass with orange popping candy. Strain over ice in Collins glass. Spritz with vanilla clove tincture. Garnish with dehydrated orange slice.
