Gløgg – Swedish Mulled Wine

    • 3 1/4 cups dry red wine
    • 1 cup spiced rum
    • 1:1 ratio of 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup The Perfect Purée Mandarin/Tangerine Concentrate, thawed
    • 1 cup honey, or to taste
    • 1 tbsp. cardamom pods
    • 1 tbsp. allspice berries
    • 2 tsp. whole cloves
    • Peel of one orange
    • 2 4-inch pieces of cinnamon
    • 1-inch piece dried ginger
Method:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and simmer 1 to 2 hours. Do not boil.
2. Strain into a serving jug.
3. Serve warm garnished with slices of orange and star anise pods.
