• | 1 1/2 oz. Bayou Rum Silver |
• | 1/2 oz. Bayou Rum Spiced |
• | 1 oz. The Perfect Purée Blood Orange Concentrate, thawed |
• | 2 Ponchatoula Strawberry halves (muddle) |
• | 2 oz. Lemongrass Simple Syrup |
• | 1 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed orange juice |
• | 1 oz. Meyer lemon juice |
Method: | |
1. | Place strawberries and lemongrass simple syrup in the bottom of a mixing glass and muddle. Measure out rest of ingredients into glass, add ice and shake well. Pour all ingredients into a pint glass and top with more ice and serve. |
Lemongrass Simple Syrup: | |
• | 2 stalks of fresh lemongrass, coarsely chopped |
• | 2 cups water |
• | 1 cup sugar |
Method: | |
1. | Place the lemongrass, sugar, and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, partially covered, for 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and cool. Cover and refrigerate. |
