1 1/2 cups The Perfect Purée Prickly Pear, thawed |

1/3 cup granulated sugar |

1 tbsp. lemon juice |

Method: |

In a medium saucepot stir together all ingredients. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. |

Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes until glaze is of desired consistency. Remove from heat; cool. |

Use this delicate glaze to enhance poultry, pork, or fish steaks for roasting or grilling. To convert this glaze to a sauce to serve with the meat or poultry, add the reduced juices from the meat to the sauce; adjust seasoning. |
