• | 1/4 cup thawed The Perfect Purée of choice |
• | 8 oz. unsalted butter (1 stick) |
• | 12 oz. vegetable shortening |
• | 1 tsp. vanilla or other flavor extract |
• | 1/2 tsp. salt |
• | 36 oz. powdered sugar/confectioner’s sugar |
Method: | |
1. | Add butter and vegetable shortening to a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. Cream until smooth. |
2. | Add purée, vanilla and salt and cream again until smooth. |
3. | With mixer on low speed, add powdered sugar gradually and beat until smooth after each addition. |
