Nectarine Ginger Tarts

Ingredients for Nectarine Ginger Tarts:

  • 3 tbsp. The Perfect Purée Sweet Ginger, thawed
  • 1 sheet cold puff pastry
  • 4-5 ripe but firm nectarines, halved, pitted, cut into thin slices
  • egg wash
  • icing sugar or vanilla ice cream, optional

Method for Nectarine Ginger Tarts:

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Place parchment paper on a baking tray.
2. Cut thin slices from nectarine, place in a bowl.
3. Cut puff pastry using a 3-inch round cutter.
4. Spread The Perfect Purée Sweet Ginger evenly on the puff pastry.
5. Arrange the nectarine slices in a concentric circle.
6. Brush with egg wash.
7. Place tarts on the prepared baking tray.
8. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Serve warm with a dusting of icing sugar or for an indulging dessert, add a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

Option: The tarts can be made ahead and frozen until needed.
